The process of creating something new has the potential to lead to great things.
The Fernandes Family legacy traces its roots to Manuel Fernandes in Portugal. After serving in the Portuguese military and starting a family with his wife, Josefina, Manuel traveled across Europe, refining his skills as a builder. Motivated by strong values, an unwavering work ethic, and profound devotion to his family, he emigrated to America. There, he dedicated several years to mastering his craft and earning the respect of colleagues and community members alike. Instilling these principles in his six children remained one of Manuel’s highest priorities.
Manny Carlos and his siblings, all but one born in Portugal, were brought to America by their father, where each became an industrious entrepreneur in a skilled trade. John, the eldest, is a contractor specializing in kitchen renovations. Arnie, a cherished mechanic, is widely respected for his generosity in assisting those in need. Armenio, the youngest brother, has established himself as a respected professional in the plumbing industry. Manny’s sisters, Margaret and Maria, are the foundation of the family, ensuring their heritage is honored through memorable gatherings, traditional home-cooked meals, and festive music from Portugal.
The Fernandes family continues through Manny Carlos’s three sons, each of whom has forged a successful path. Miguel and Brian uphold the family tradition in the building trades and contribute their expertise within trade unions. The youngest, Joey, serves his family and community with distinction as a firefighter.
Manny Carlos’s deep appreciation for his parents’ commitment and sacrifices is evident in his work. Whether collaborating closely with clients to address their needs or overseeing custom projects that unite designers, architects, contractors, and laborers, he is committed to ensuring every endeavor is completed to the highest standard of excellence.
